Maritz Arts and Education Fund for Teachers

The Arts and Education Council, in collaboration with Maritz, is introducing a unique funding opportunity called The Maritz Arts and Education Fund for Teachers that gives grants to individual schools and non-profit organizations to help engage students in being creative. The Fund will, for the first time, give teachers the opportunity to apply directly for funding with individual schools or school districts serving as fiscal agents. The Maritz Arts and Education Fund for Teachers will support educational programs, with grants ranging between $500 and $5,000, which link art with curriculum to enhance students’ learning. Priority funding will be given to projects that introduce new art mediums to students.

Grants will be made only for programs that take place in the St. Louis bi-state area (Missouri: Jefferson, Franklin, Lincoln, St. Louis City and County, St. Charles, Warren and Washington.  Illinois: Bond, Calhoun, Clinton, Jersey, Macoupin, Madison, Monroe, and St. Clair) from September 30, 2010 to June 15, 2011
