What You Can Do

The Arts and Education Council provides funding for the arts and arts education programs in the 16 county St. Louis region.  Funding is provided through grants both directly through the Council and through collaborative partnerships.

Apply for a Grant

Funding is provided through grants at multiple levels. All organizations applying for grants must have 501(c)3 status for a minimum of one year and focus on arts and arts education. Additional criteria vary with each grant level.

PNC Project Grants

2012 PNC Project Grant applications are now closed.

PNC Project Grants are made for special projects in amounts ranging from $500 - $5,000, but shall not exceed 30% of project budget. To be eligible, an organization, or the entity for which it is a part, must be an IRS Section 501(c)(3) corporation in the state of Missouri or Illinois for one year or more and must remain a 501(c)(3) for the duration of the grant period or the grant will be forfeited. Grants are determined by a volunteer committee of the Council. Proposals are judged on how well they meet the criteria below, as well as in comparison with other proposals submitted.  See current project grant recipients here.

Operating Support Grants

Operating Support Grants are made for special projects in amounts ranging from $10,000 - $50,000, but shall not exceed 10% of annual budget. The Operating Support Committee reviews the applications with presentations to the committee.  See current operating support grant recipients here.
